Patrick de Warren
Patrick de Warren (born 1978) is a French photographer and filmmaker whose work bridges high fashion, portraiture, and experimental imaging. Raised in Paris after his family moved from Avignon, he absorbed the city’s couture heritage before launching his own photographic practice in his early twenties. Today he divides his time between Paris and New York, collaborating with top designers and publications.
In 2000 Giorgio Armani personally selected de Warren to photograph the Armani Art Exchange project—a breakthrough that led to campaigns and editorials featuring figures such as Chloë Sevigny, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Christina Ricci. Two years later he won the North American Polaroid International Photography Award, drawn to the medium’s instant revelation and its capacity to preserve a fleeting moment in vivid color and tone.
De Warren’s images have been exhibited across Europe, North America, and Japan, establishing him as a prominent voice in contemporary commercial and fine‑art photography. More recently, he has expanded into film and video, experimenting with motion, projection, and narrative form to extend the poetic immediacy of his still‑image work into new dimensions.
