Judy Garland, Copenhagen
Signed, dated and numbered from edition of 35 on recto.
“I flew to Copenhagen from London to photograph the legendary singer who had just married her tour promoter, Mark Herron who is lighting her cigarette in the photograph. I asked what her favorite song was.
Unexpectedly, she started singing “Over the Rainbow” for me, and proceeded to sing about ten more songs to my delight. She was, to paraphrase Frank Sinatra, “the greatest entertainer in the world.” – Harry Benson
