Junagarh Fort, located in Bikaner, Rajasthan, is a historic fortress built between 1589 and 1594 by Raja Rai Singh. Unlike many other forts in Rajasthan, it is situated on the plains rather than a hilltop, showcasing the grandeur of Rajputana architecture. The fort complex features several palaces, temples, and pavilions adorned with intricate carvings and beautiful frescoes. Notable structures include Anup Mahal, with its ornate gold leaf work; Phool Mahal, known for its floral motifs; and Karan Mahal, which blends Mughal and Rajput styles.

The fort also houses a museum displaying artifacts such as weaponry, manuscripts, paintings, and costumes, offering insights into Bikaner’s rich cultural heritage. Junagarh Fort’s robust walls, elaborate design, and historical significance make it a prominent landmark and major tourist attraction in Rajasthan.
