JL Modern Gallery opened its doors in November 2018 and features a rotating program of contemporary photography that operates in conjunction with Holden Luntz Gallery. Designed as a dynamic space for engaging photographic discourse, the gallery showcases work that explores contemporary culture and diverse methods of image-making—from digital to alternative processes. The gallery is dedicated to presenting both small group and solo exhibitions featuring leading international photographers, offering exposure to significant talent that may not typically be shown in the southern United States.

As part of the expansion of the joint galleries, JL Modern Gallery enables a unique synergy that allows collectors, corporations, and foundations to leverage the collective expertise from both galleries in order to build and guide photographic collections.
