“February Is Love” is an exhibition to charm, warm and intrigue every lover or would-be lover.  From a lover’s passionate embrace, to a bouquet of flowers, to a room permeated with the essence of memory, or a simple lover’s afternoon meeting on a park bench or café  - love can be that mysterious universal ether that enriches our lives.  From China to India, from France to America, love takes on different expressions.  Through the passage of time  lovers are cloaked in different styles and their desires are ritualized in many unique  ways.  Sometimes formal and sometimes spontaneous  -  the manifestations of love can dazzle, delight and intrigue us.  Like stars in the evening sky,  some love burns brightly and is constant and sometimes love appears as a shooting star.  Sometimes we see the stars burning with great intensity – and sometimes we know they are up there – but they are too faint to see.  We sense what we cannot always see. 

Love has often found a voice through photography.  Sometimes it speaks through signs and metaphors and other times, physically captures the features (and perhaps a touch of the soul) of a significant person.    “February Is Love” brings together a selection of great photographs both public and private, intimate and familiar,  to take into your imagination and heart.  We invite you to visually delight in these aspects of love.
